ACT Rookies Championship 2019

Paul Hone; Runner Up Rookies 2019

The Queanbeyan Bowls Club was very well represented for the ACT Rookies event played on 1-2 June 2019 at Canberra Norths Bowling Club.  The women playing were Lesley Hart, Kerry Freebody, Shirley Smith and Marcia Douch.  Both Marcia and Shirley made it through  to the quarter finals on Sunday.

The men that played were Paul McAlister, Rhys Spiteri, Gordon Elliott, Ryan Spiteri and Paul Hone.  Ryan and Paul qualified to play in the quarter final on Sunday with Paul progressing to the semi final and the Final on Sunday afternoon.  Paul played a terrific game and must be very pleased with his result as runner-up in the event.
