Try Bowls Presentation 2021

February 2021 was a great month for our annual “Try Bowls” Competition which was held every Tuesday evening in February, culminating in a presentation evening on 23 February.  The competition is a way for our new bowlers to be introduced to the game and to get to know our current members.

We had a record number of teams – 18 Triples Teams – all named after a type of bird for example Butcherbirds, Wrens, Gang Gangs, Owls and Kookaburras.  A delicious dinner was prepared by Coral and Margaret and enjoyed by all the participants, followed by some trivia and ukelele playing by Loy and boisterous singing by each table.

The following teams were in the winning arena:

1st Place:  Danny Brighenti, Gordon Elliott and Chris

2nd Place:  Kay Parsons, Hugh Davies and Jan Sheddon

Happiest Team:  Chrissy Cave, Chris McMurray and Alan Berry
