Women’s Fours Winners 2021

On Tuesday23 November, the final of the women’s fours saw a nail biting finish, resulting in a 19-18 win to Noreen Ainley, Leslea Gruber, Linda Toohey and Penny Auld against Kathy Elliott, Jeanette Brewer, Linda Copley and Audrey Pritchard. It was a tough match with both teams playing some quality bowls and, going into the last end Audrey’s team led 18-15. Penny’s team was one down with only the skips to bowl – Penny’s first bowl took out the shot bowl and her team had three then drew her last bowl to make it four and the win. There were four excited girls at the end of the match. The game was played in good spirits and it was unfortunate there could only be one winner.
