Women’s Minor Pairs Winners 2021

Today (12APR2021)  saw a new combination take out the Women’s Minor Pairs. New bowler, Mandy McAlister and Lesley Hart played some awesome bowls to defeat a gallant Claire Leggett and Maureen Ellison 29-20. The score see-sawed until midway through the match when Mandy and Lesley scored an 8. Claire and Maureen fought valiantly over last few ends but Mandy and Lesley held their nerve to keep the lead until final bowl was put down.

Congratulations to Mandy and Lesley, who were both buzzing – commiserations to Claire and Maureen, may 2022 be your year.

It was good to see so many current and retired bowlers watching today which the players appreciated. Thanks to Linda C for umpiring.
