Women’s Minor Singles

In the final of the Women’s Minor Singles, Marcia Douch came through will a hard-fought win over Lesley Hart 25-17. There were some excellent bowls played and the scores were mostly even until the last few ends. The semi-finals in the morning were also close matches with only a few shots separating Marcia and Linda Toohey and Lesley and Shirley Smith. Over the entire weekend the majority of matches were close with some awesome bowls played. A big thank you to Linda Copley and Marg Davies for umpiring, markers on both days and the spectators who enjoyed the games being played in brilliant sunshine.
